Madison INTO Yellow Speaker Series:
Holistic Decluttering
Thursday 5/9 12:00 pm

There is no better metaphor for our minds than our closets. They can be opened or closed; clean and functioning or a mess and cluttered with unused and misplaced clothes. This creates stress and distraction can begin to feel overwhelming. When negative thoughts and beliefs create stress, it makes being the best version of yourself feel impossible. Whether it’s the thoughts clogging your mind, or clothes thrown about your closet both psychological and physical clutter prevent us from moving forward and creating space for the things that truly bring us joy. Join Jennifer Sikora as she teaches tips and tools for organizing your home and thoughts.

Madison INTO Yellow Speaker Series:
Increasing Optimism: Science Behind Smile
Friday 5/10 12:00 pm

Staying productive and optimistic can be challenging when we are under increased stress. Higher levels of optimism have been shown to increase productivity, performance and success. Contrary to what many people believe, our level of optimism and resilience can be increased with simple everyday steps. In the workshop Increasing Optimism I will share clinical study data on how by increasing levels of optimism people can live happier, healthier, longer and be more productive each day. Participants will be introduced to 5 key elements of Positive Psychology and discuss how those elements can be better integrated into their every day with cognitive behavioral and positive psychology-based tools.

Madison INTO Yellow Speaker Series:
Be the Boss of Your Thoughts
Saturday 5/11 12:00 pm

Gretchen Burman and founder of Character U introduces elementary aged children to the power of positive self-talk, mindset and twelve character-building tools -- empowering kids to feel and do their best. Children who have the skills to feel good on the inside are more likely to do well on the outside and treat each other with compassion and respect. Resulting in a kinder, safer and more accepting environment where children can experience improved behavior and reduced bullying. Her book, assemblies and workshops offer a child-friendly and age-appropriate way to help children: feel good about themselves, improve coping skills, navigate difficult situations, grow their resilience, be effective communicators (in-person and online), show respect and kindness to themselves and each other.
